Submit to The Astyanax.
Every writer was unknown once.
The Astyanax publishes essays, criticism, lectures, and creative writing from contributors at every stage of their career, alongside interviews of our own. We read every submission individually and there are no fees to submit.
Work submitted to The Astyanax should be original and not under consideration elsewhere. We aim to respond within five working days.

Submission guidelines
Published on the site · Eligible for the Sunday issue · Response within five working days
Work sent to the Weekly track is published on the site once it is accepted, and stays in the permanent archive. Every Sunday the editors choose the best of that week’s pieces for The Weekly, the newsletter that goes to all our subscribers. Publication and selection are separate decisions: your work can be published on the site without being chosen for the newsletter.
